What volunteering at winter camp is all about:

Camp Sheppard is our Council’s Winter Camp where scouts can have fun in a camp tucked between the mountains and snow. The camp’s program includes scout activities themed toward the snowy climate. As an OA volunteer, you will be assisting and teaching in various areas like Nature, Shooting Sports, Scout Skills, and more.

Important notes:

  1. This year everyone will be asked for their BSA membership number, And members over the age of 18 will be asked to provide the expiration date for their Youth Protection Training. You can find you BSA membership number at my.scouting.org or in Scout Book.
  2. You have to sign up by the Monday before the weekend you would like to work, This is so the Council can make sure that the BSA membership numbers and Youth Protection Training are all good and ready to go. (You will not be able to attend if you do not receive an approval email)
Important items to pack are:

-Med forms, A and B (Link)
-Warm sleeping bag
-Winter gear (waterproof boots, pants and a warm jacket)
-10 essentials
-OA sash

Remember when packing that this is a WINTER camp so it will be cold. It is important that you pack for the weather and bring warm clothes.
