NOAC: T’Kope Ceremonies Bring Home a Mountain of Awards
Friday, 04 September 2009 00:00

noac_pic_2T'Kope Kwiskwis Ceremonialists performed so well and received so many "Honor" medals at NOAC the airline was considering charging us extra for the additional weight.

That might be an exaggeration, but to speak of the quality of ceremonies that the lodge has, is not! During NOAC the Inductions and Ceremony Events Committee (ICE) held two different activities. The first was an evaluation that was performed on ceremony teams for Pre-Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil. Once the evaluation portion was completed Pre-Ordeal and Vigil teams could continue on to the competition event. Brotherhood teams did not compete in the competition portion.

The Lodge had multiple teams in all of the categories. Teams whose members performed extremely well received "honors" recognition and a medal to show off their hard work. In the evaluations this year teams from our lodge received the following "Honors":

Honors Pre- Ordeal Team: Jeff Z as Allowat Sakima, Tony M as Nutiket, Logan C as Kitchkinet, and Brett A as Meteu

Honors Brotherhood Team: Allen S as Allowat Sakima, Mat A as Nutiket,  Ryan M as Kitchkinet, and Brian S as Meteu

Honors Brotherhood Team: Jeff Z as Allowat Sakima, Tony M as Nutiket, Mitchell H as Kitchkinet, and Brett A as Meteu

Honors Vigil - Allen S

Honors Vigil - Brian S

We then had three teams enter the competition phase of ceremonies at NOAC to see who the best is. All three teams placed in the top 10 in the country:

Sunyakwa/Sahaptin Mox Khan'-nice Pre- Ordeal - TOP 10 in the Nation

Brian Sher, Vigil - TOP 10 in the Nation

Allen Sher, Vigil -  TOP 10 in the Nation

Congratulations to all who put so many hours of work into this lodge's ceremonies teams so that we can say we have some of the best in the nation!
